So what is new in the Marco Island neighborhood? Well, if you are here right now, you have probably seen tons of signs going up around the island endorsing different candidates for the open positions on the Marco Island City Council. This year, there are four seats available and as of now there are eight residents of Marco Island that are running. Three of these residents are incumbents and are seeking re-election. They are Larry Honig, Ken Honecker, and Amadeo Petricca. In addition, there are five newcomers to the race. They are Charlette Roman, Jerry Swiacki, Fred Kramer, Howard Reed and Jared Grifoni.
